Who I am.
I am Liz Azulay Gardner, and I am the mom of two grown boys, Gabriel and Milo. In my pre-doula life I lived in Boston, Massachusetts. I moved to Seattle in 2014 for a job, and two things happened. I fell in love with the gorgeous landscapes and environment of the Pacific Northwest and in turn, the move inspired me to follow my heart and make the leap to become a doula!
I decided to become a doula so that I can help every woman and family create beautiful and empowered memories of their own unique childbirth and postpartum experience. Pregnancy, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period are times of profound change for all women and their families, and my own two birth experiences taught me how important it is to have loving and consistent support throughout labor and delivery.
I completed my Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula training at Bastyr University in March, 2016. In June, I completed my postpartum certification with the Northwest Association for Postpartum Support (NAPS). I also currently serve on the NAPS Board as Continuing Education Coordinator and am working toward becoming a Lamaze Childbirth Educator.
