I decided to become a doula so that I can help every woman and family create beautiful and empowered memories of their own unique childbirth and postpartum experience.

I am Liz Azulay Gardner, and I am the mom of two grown boys, Gabriel and Milo. In my pre-doula life I lived in Boston, Massachusetts. I moved to Seattle in 2013 for a job, and two things happened. I fell in love with the gorgeous landscapes and environment of the Pacific Northwest and in turn, the move inspired me to follow my heart and make the leap to become a doula!

Pregnancy, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period are times of profound change for all women and their families, and my own two birth experiences taught me how vitally important it is to have loving and consistent support throughout labor and delivery. I have also learned over time that new parents need nurturing care, reassurance and guidance as they adjust to life with a new baby.

Continuous support during labour has clinically meaningful benefits for women and infants.
