As a predominately non-fiction reader, here are some great books that I have recently read and loved:

Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson - The author founded the Equal Justice Initiative, "a legal practice dedicated to defending the poor, the wrongly condemned, and those trapped in the furthest reaches of our criminal justice system".  This is Stevenson's story of meeting a wrongly condemned young man on death row and thereafter dedicating his life and career to achieving justice for hundreds of forgotten men, women and children on the margins of American society.

The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace by Jeff Hobbs -

Between the World and Me by Ta-nehisi Coates

The Worst is Over by Judith Acosta and Judith Simon Prager

Dark Star Safari by Paul Theroux

A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson

Brain on Fire by Susannah Cahalan
